Utah Watercolor Society recognizes Marian Dunn this month as one of "Utah's nine most-honored watercolor instructors." As noted in a Desert News press release this week. "People in the art community recognize these names, plus a lot of people have studied with these artists and appreciate their legacy."

Join Marian and me in Italy in September
La Romita School of Art

Umbria Italy

La Romita sits on a hillside above Terni Umbria about an hour and a half north of Rome

September 4th through 18th, Marian Dunn, my mother, returns one more time to teach at La Romita School of Art with me as her assistant. For about $240 a day you get room and board and transportation to the nearby sites and towns. Artists and non-artists enjoy the uniqueness of this special place. Basically you can join us each morning as our bus takes us to a different hill town, or you can just stay and relax at the villa. A couple of days we will spend the entire day away and we are responsible for our own lunches those days. Each evening before we go to a big town we can watch a slide show of it. Also every morning when you get on the bus you will be handed a map of the town that gives instructions about where and when we meet the bus—where are toilet facilities etc. Marian will be available in the studio each afternoon for those who would like assistance with art.

The La Romita bus will pick-up and deliver to the school everyone from the Rome Airport on September 4th at 10:30am and return all that wish on Saturday the 18th. For more on this click here.
